DESCRIPTION:The Journalism Science Alliance\, in partnership with the FRONTIERS project\, is hosting a pre-conference at the European Communication Conference 2026\, on September 7\, in Brno\, Czech Republic. \nThe session\, entitled “Journalists-scientists relationship: existing models\, present and future”\, will bring together grantees and collaborators from both the Journalism Science Alliance and FRONTIERS\, two European initiatives\, for a round table discussion. \nStarting from the experience of panel members\, the audience will be invited to share their own perspective on how the relationship between journalists and scientists is evolving\, and where it’s headed. \nDate: Half-day afternoon event on 7 September 2026 (14.00-17.30)\nLocation: Masaryk University\, Brno — Faculty of Arts\, Room B2.21\nFee: Participation is free of charge\, but registration is required. SUMMARY:Closing the Circle with the 2025 Cohort
DESCRIPTION:The Journalism Science Alliance is hosting its third networking event to close the circle with our very first cohort of grantees. This online gathering will bring together scientists and journalists from the 24 selected teams of the programme’s first funding cycle\, which began in 2025. \nDuring this Zoom session\, on 10 September\, grantees will have the chance to reconnect\, share findings\, and celebrate the evidence-based stories they’ve made possible together. There will be time to reflect on our collaborative path so far\, exchange valuable feedback\, and look ahead to what comes next for the Alliance.\n \nThis session is restricted to Journalism Science Alliance grantees.
