The future of PFAS pollution

Czech Republic | France | Switzerland

Description

The project investigates pollution from PFAS, the so-called “forever chemicals,” substances that persist in the environment for decades, accumulate in water and soil, and are associated with serious health effects. Combining investigative journalism by Agence France-Presse with leading scientific expertise, the investigation will examine where PFAS pollution is heading, who is exposed, and how regulation is reshaping the global picture. Findings will be published by AFP worldwide.

PFAS pollution is a global story, and so is our team. AFP’s network of journalists around the world, working together with leading scientists, can follow this story wherever it leads, up to the communities living with the consequences. Rigor is at the heart of how AFP reports, and this partnership grounds the investigation in science from the start.” – Ivan Couronne, Global editor, Future of the Planet, Agence France-Presse
